Conversion Optimization and Online Analytics

I’d go out on a limb and say almost everyone knows WordPress. For the ones that don’t, WordPress is open source software that you can use to create your own website. My website is created using WordPress.

WordPress has a vibrant community and their mission is to make the software better but also to share insights about content marketing, tactic, etc.

I was invited to give a talk at their Wordcamp Conference on 31.08.2018. The topic? Of course something data related. In this case: Conversion Optimization and Online Analytics.

The reason I gave this talk was simply because I came across many people that were always talking about online analytics, but lacked the basic understanding of statistics when they were talking about it.

Simply put, if I can find a difference in basic A/B testing, can I trust this difference based on the amount of data I collected? I can tell you, most of the time the answer is NO.

How come? That’s what the talk covers and also techniques you can use to get the most out of your online analytics with the goal to improve your website conversions.

Enjoy.
