Regional innovation in a public room
The Economic Board Arnhem Nijmegen x Innovate event brought together politics, business, universities, and startups around the region's innovation profile. I presented Mind Trace in an old church in Arnhem, a setting that made the event feel more public and more deliberate than a standard pitch night.
What the setting made visible
- Regional innovation depends on translation between institutions, companies, and founders.
- A startup pitch has to make the technology useful to people outside the immediate product category.
- Events like this work when they create actual contact between people who usually operate in separate lanes.
